Imprinted Concrete

Known for its strength, durability and low maintenance, it is easy to see why many homeowners throughout Surrey have chosen imprinted concrete to enhance the look of their property. Many driveways in areas such as Bracknell, Ascot, Guildford and Farnborough have been laid with this very distinctive, strong structure.

However, as hard wearing as this surface is, it does still require some maintenance. Although it is sealed  when it is initially laid; due to weathering, UV light and car and foot traffic, in a few years, this will have worn away and the surface will probably start to look dull and be prone to moss and lichens forming. The concrete can start to lose colour and sometimes will result in exposing the bare concrete.

We are able to offer a service to clean and restore imprinted concrete to look like it has just been laid! Initially the surface will be pressure cleaned, using our specialised rotary headed equipment, enabling us to deep clean the paving without causing any damage.

Any cracks or surface damage can then easily be repaired using Smartseal high strength repair compound and any colour loss, caused by UV light or sub-standard materials, can be rejuvenated by adding tints, available in a choice of colours.

For optimum results, 2 coats of Smartseal imprinted concrete sealer will then be applied providing long term protection from deterioration. Anti-slip additive may also be added to the sealer during application to stop the surface becoming slippery and dangerous to walk on when wet and once the sealer is dry, mastic can then be re-applied to the expansion joints to complete the restoration process.
